What to do if my Advanced Energy HFV 8000 Portable Generator displays OVERTEMPERATURE FAULT?
    • Y
      ymccormickAug 18, 2025
If your Advanced Energy Portable Generator displays 'OVERTEMPERATURE FAULT', first, check that the Water In and Water Out connections are correctly connected and that water is flowing in the right direction. Also, ensure the inlet water temperature is between +15ºC to +30ºC (+59ºF to +86ºF) and the flow rate exceeds 11.4 lpm (3 gpm). After the generator cools down, you can restore operation by cycling the RF output enable command.

What to do if my Advanced Energy HFV 8000 Portable Generator displays INPUT LINE FAULT?
    • J
      Johnny RayAug 20, 2025
If the Advanced Energy Portable Generator displays 'INPUT LINE FAULT', measure the line voltage using a true RMS voltmeter to ensure it's between 178 to 229 VAC across all three phases. If the voltage is within this range, cycle the RF output enable command to clear the fault and attempt to operate the supply again. If the issue persists, run the Internal Diagnostics program, as it could indicate either an internal failure or an external voltage spike.
