RISERS
See page 13
For paramotoring, The FLEX-ONE is delivered with risers equipped
with a trim system. The normal flight configuration is fully pulled trims strap
position which corresponds to the EN 926-2 level “A” tested geometry. This is
the setting that provides the best take off, the best handling with reduced con-
trol efforts, and the most spontaneous return to normal flight capabilities in
case of incident.
The fact of releasing the trims increases speed and the “reflex “ of the profile
and also control efforts . The pilot will progressively explore the trims path in
accordance with flight conditions and he will dedicate the released positions
(more than 120 mm) to calm air.
It is necessary to keep in mind that for the same path, there a difference be-
tween trims released (permanent action lasting during the recovering ma-
noeuvres from a flight incident) and the action on a speed bar system (action
instantaneously stopped as soon as the flight incident occurs).
The results obtained during EN 926-2 flight tests in trim released configura-
tion, highlight the need for the pilot to react appropriately to incidents, espe-
cially for the two manoeuvres receiving a "C" rating : dynamic stall and B stall
(which is not recommended in this configuration).
Controls customisation
The main controls are, at the pilot option and depending on the height of the
hooks on the motor, installed on the upper pulley (low hanging ) or lower (high
hanging). For trained pilots and willing to progress, risers are equipped with a
preparation kit for the installation of auxiliary controls wingtip (TST).
Torque compensation
Conventionally, elevators are provided with two attachment loops for asym-
metrical hanging of the motor. Looking in the direction of motion :
if rotation of the propeller clockwise direction, upper right and lower left loop
If propeller in the counter clockwise , upper left and lower right loop.
Paragliding mode
The FLEX-ONE can be used also paragliding mode. It passed though flight
test certification procedure, equipped with elevators and accelerator, better
suited for this practice (available on request, please contact us). The FLEX-
ONE receives "A" notation in this configuration.
