Fill the water tank with clear, cold tap water up to the marked level. Never use hot water.
Open the swing filter and insert a Size 4 paper filter. Fold perforated sides first.
Use medium grade coffee. Adjust amount to taste; approx. 6-7g for medium-strong coffee.
Ensure the lid is screwed on clockwise to activate the anti-drip valve.
Turn on the appliance using the on/off switch; the operating lamp will light up.
The anti-drip valve prevents dripping when the jug is removed. Ensure filter is seated.
Assemble the frothed milk spout by connecting the knob, suction piece, and discharge outlet.
Turn steam selector right. Milk is heated and frothed, flowing into cup via discharge outlet.
