Function Description
This AEG dishwasher is designed for household-type dishes and tableware only, and is suitable for single household domestic use in an indoor environment. It is not intended for commercial or industrial use. The appliance operates by spraying water and detergent onto dishes to clean them. It features various programs and settings to accommodate different levels of soil and types of load. The dishwasher includes a water softener system to adjust water hardness, ensuring optimal cleaning results and preventing limescale buildup. It also incorporates an AirDry system, which automatically opens the door during the drying phase to improve drying performance and reduce energy consumption.
The appliance has a control panel with buttons for On/Off, Delay start, Display, MY TIME program selection, Option buttons (EXTRAS), and AUTO Sense program. The display shows information such as ECO meter, indicators for rinse aid, salt, Machine Care, and drying phase.

Usage Features
The dishwasher offers a variety of programs tailored for different needs:
- Quick: Suitable for dishwashing a load with fresh and light soil (30 min).
- 1h: Suitable for dishwashing a load with fresh and lightly dried-on soil (60 min).
- 1h 30min: Suitable for dishwashing and drying normally soiled items (90 min).
- 2h 40min: Suitable for dishwashing and drying heavily soiled items (160 min).
- ECO: The most efficient program offering the lowest energy and water consumption for crockery and cutlery with normal soil. This is the standard program for test institutes.
- AUTO Sense: Automatically adjusts the dishwashing cycle to the type of load.
- Machine Care: For cleaning the appliance interior.
Program phases can include Prewash, Dishwashing (various temperatures), Intermediate rinse, Final rinse, and Drying.
EXTRAS options can be selected to enhance program performance:
- ExtraPower: Improves dishwashing results and increases wash temperature and duration.
- GlassCare: Prevents delicate load damage by reducing temperature and pressure.
Daily Use:
- Open the water tap.
- Press and hold the On/Off button until the appliance is activated.
- Fill the salt container if it is empty.
- Fill the rinse aid dispenser if it is empty.
- Load the baskets.
- Add the detergent.
- Select and start a program.
- Close the water tap when the program is complete.
Detergent Use: The detergent compartment (A) is for rinse aid only. The detergent (powder, gel, tablets) should be placed in compartment (B) or (C). For multi-tablets, refer to the instructions on the packaging.
Water Softener: The water softener removes minerals from the water supply. The level of the water softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Use regeneration salt to refill the salt container.
Rinse Aid: The rinse aid dispenser should be filled with rinse aid to improve drying results and prevent streaks. The rinse aid indicator turns on when refilling is needed.
End Sound: An acoustic signal sounds when the program is completed.
Auto Door Open (AirDry): The appliance door automatically opens during the drying phase. This feature can be activated or deactivated.
Key Tones: The buttons on the control panel make a click sound when pressed. This can be deactivated.
Latest Program Selection: This feature enables or disables the automatic selection of the most recently used program and options.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning and Care:
- Machine Care Program: This program is designed to clean the appliance interior. It should be run regularly (every two months) using a descaler or a cleaning product designed for dishwashers.
- External Cleaning: Clean the appliance with a soft moist cloth. Use only neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads or solvents.
- Internal Cleaning: Clean the appliance interior with a soft damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourers or solvents. Wipe clean the door, including the rubber gasket, once a week.
- Filter Cleaning: The filter system is made of 3 parts (A, B, C).
- Turn the filter (B) counterclockwise and remove it.
- Remove the filter (C) out of filter (B).
- Remove the flat filter (A).
- Wash the filters under running water. Make sure there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump.
- Put back in place the flat filter (A).
- Reassemble the filters (B) and (C).
- Put back the filter (B) in the flat filter (A). Turn it clockwise until it locks.
- Lower Spray Arm Cleaning:
- To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards.
- Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool, e.g. a toothpick, to remove particles of soil from the holes.
- To install the spray arm back, press it downwards.
- Ceiling Spray Arm Cleaning:
- To remove the ceiling spray arm, detach the spray arm (C) from the delivery tube (A). Turn the mounting element (B) counterclockwise and pull the spray arm downwards.
- Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool, e.g. a toothpick, to remove particles of soil from the holes. Run the water through the holes to wash soil particles away from the inside.
- To install the spray arm back, insert the mounting element (B) in the spray arm and fit it in the delivery tube (A) by turning it clockwise. Make sure that the mounting element locks into place.
- Cutlery Drawer Cleaning: Install the cutlery drawer on the sliding rails and block the stoppers.
Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common problems and alarm codes, including possible causes and solutions. For example, if the appliance does not fill with water, possible causes include the water tap being closed or the water supply pressure being too low.
