Defrost water drains into a special container at the back of the appliance, where it evaporates.
A key feature is the PROFRESH PLUS system in the refrigerator compartment, which provides rapid cooling and maintains a more uniform temperature, activating automatically when needed, such as when the internal temperature is high. It should be activated at least 24 hours before placing food to be frozen. The function automatically stops after 52 hours, restoring the previous temperature setting, but can also be deactivated manually.
Door Open Indicator: If the door remains open for approximately five minutes, a door open indicator activates, with the temperature key and current temperature LED indicator flashing. This can be deactivated by closing the door or pressing the temperature key.
Storage Recommendations: For optimal food storage, cover or wrap food, especially items with strong flavors, and position them to allow free air circulation. Food should be kept at least 20 mm from the rear wall and 15 mm from the door on all shelves. When storing large quantities of frozen food, drawers can be removed to place food directly on glass shelves for better performance.

Cleaning: Before first use, the interior and all accessories should be washed with lukewarm water and a neutral soap, then dried thoroughly. For periodic cleaning, use lukewarm water and neutral soap for the interior and accessories. It's important to regularly check and wipe clean the door seals to ensure they are free from debris. If accessible, the condenser and compressor at the back of the appliance should be cleaned with a brush to improve performance and save electricity. Defrosting: The appliance is frost-free, so manual defrosting is not required. However, it is important to periodically clean the defrost water drain hole in the middle of the refrigerator compartment channel to prevent water from overflowing and dripping onto food.
CLEANAIR CONTROL Filter Replacement: The active carbon filter should be changed approximately every six months to ensure continued effectiveness in absorbing odors. New filters can be purchased from local dealers or through the AEG website. The part number is printed on the plastic bag the filter comes in.
Periods of Non-Operation: If the appliance will not be used for an extended period, it should be disconnected from the electricity supply, all food removed, and the interior and accessories cleaned. The door(s) should be left open to prevent unpleasant smells.
