This document is a user manual for an AEG T7DBG841 Tumble Dryer, providing comprehensive information on its safe operation, features, and maintenance.
Function Description
The AEG T7DBG841 is a heat pump tumble dryer designed for household use, offering various drying programs and options to achieve desired laundry dryness levels. It utilizes a refrigerant circuit containing propane (R290), a flammable gas with high environmental compatibility, for efficient drying. The appliance is capable of drying cottons, synthetics, mixed fabrics, woollens, and silk, with a maximum load capacity of 8.0 kg. It features an automatic drying function, but also allows for time-based drying for specific needs. The dryer is equipped with a water container to collect condensed water, which needs to be emptied after each cycle, or it can be connected to an external drain kit for automatic drainage.
Usage Features
The tumble dryer is operated via a control panel that includes a program dial, a display, an On/Off button, and options buttons.
- Program Selection: Users can select from a range of programs tailored for different fabric types and desired dryness levels, such as "Algod. Eco" for energy-efficient cotton drying, "Sintéticos" for synthetic fabrics, "Lana/Lãs" for woollens, and "Seda" for silk.
- Dryness Level Options: The "Nivel de Sec." option allows users to adjust the final dryness level, offering choices like "ready to iron," "cupboard dry," and "extra dry." This helps prevent over-drying or under-drying of clothes.
- Anti-Crease Phase: An "Anti-arrugas/rugas" option extends the anti-crease phase at the end of the drying cycle, rotating the drum periodically to prevent creases, allowing for more flexible laundry removal.
- Refresh Function: A "Refrescar" option is available for refreshing clothes that have been in storage, with a maximum load of 1 kg.
- Time Drying: For certain fabric types, the "Tiempo/Tempo" option allows users to set a specific drying duration, ranging from 10 minutes to 2 hours in 10-minute steps.
- Delay Start: The "Inicio Diferido" option enables users to delay the start of a drying program from 30 minutes up to 20 hours, providing flexibility for scheduling laundry.
- Alarm Function: The appliance features an alarm that sounds at the cycle end and at the start and end of the crease guard phase. This can be activated or deactivated.
- Child Lock: A child lock option can be activated to prevent children from tampering with the appliance, locking all touch buttons and the program dial, but not the On/Off button.
- Auto Off Function: To conserve energy, the appliance automatically turns off if the Start/Pause button is not touched within 5 minutes or 5 minutes after a cycle ends.
- Loading Laundry: It is important to ensure laundry is not trapped between the appliance door and the rubber seal when loading. Items should be prepared by closing zips and fasteners, removing items from pockets, and turning cotton-layered items inside out.
- Laundry Preparation: For optimal results, laundry should be spun well before drying. It is recommended to avoid drying large and small items together, as small items can get trapped and remain wet.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the appliance's performance and longevity.
- Filter Cleaning: The filter must be cleaned after each drying cycle. A symbol on the display indicates when cleaning is required. Lint should be removed by hand and, if necessary, with a vacuum cleaner. Water should not be used to clean the filter.
- Water Container Emptying: The condensed water container needs to be emptied after every drying cycle. The appliance will stop automatically if the container is full, and a symbol will appear on the display. The container is pulled out horizontally, and a plastic connection is removed to drain the water.
- Condenser Cleaning: The condenser and its compartment should be inspected and cleaned at least every 6 months, or when the "condensador" symbol flashes on the display. This involves opening the door, pulling up the filter, opening the condenser cover, unlocking the condenser lid, and removing fluff with a wet cloth or vacuum cleaner. Protective gloves should be worn during this process to avoid injury from the metal surface.
- Drum Cleaning: The inner surface of the drum and drum lifters can be cleaned with a moist soft cloth and a standard neutral soap detergent. Abrasive materials or steel wool should not be used.
- Control Panel and Housing Cleaning: The control panel and housing should be cleaned with a moist cloth and a standard neutral soap detergent. Furniture cleaning agents or corrosive cleaning agents should be avoided.
- Airflow Slots Cleaning: The airflow slots at the bottom of the appliance should be kept clear and cleaned with a vacuum cleaner to remove fluff.
- Rear Drum Locks: Before first use, the rear drum locks are automatically removed when the dryer is activated. If the drum does not rotate, these locks may need to be manually released using a provided key. It is recommended to run an empty program for a few seconds initially to ensure proper removal of these locks.
