Overview

This document is an instruction manual for an AeroBed® airbed, specifically for the PUMP R111 AU / RDV model. It provides comprehensive information on the product's function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The AeroBed® is a luxury inflatable airbed designed for alternative sleeping. It features an integrated pump (PUMP R111 AU / RDV) for inflation and deflation, and a control wand for adjusting firmness. The airbed is intended for indoor use only and provides a comfortable sleeping surface. Its primary function is to offer a convenient, portable, and comfortable sleeping solution that can be easily inflated and deflated as needed. The pump is designed to inflate the bed to its full capacity, after which the user can fine-tune the firmness using the control wand. The Quick Release Valve facilitates rapid deflation for storage.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Pump Model: PUMP R111 AU / RDV
  • Electrical Rating: 230V AC, 50 Hz, 0.8 A
  • Inflation/Deflation Mechanism: Integrated electric pump with a control wand.
  • Valve Type: Quick Release Valve for efficient inflation and deflation.
  • Material: Plastic construction for the airbed, with a plush surface.
  • Pump Usage Limit: Do not use continuously for more than 4 minutes. Allow a 5-minute rest period between complete inflation and deflation cycles to prevent overheating.
  • Storage Temperature: Store in a clean, dry place at room temperature (above 50 °F/10 °C and below 100 °F/38 °C).

Usage Features:

  • Easy Setup: No tools are required for preparation.
  • Inflation:
    • Place the rolled-up bed on a flat surface free of obstructions.
    • Ensure the Quick Release Valve is closed and latched.
    • Plug the AC cord into a standard polarized 240 Volt AC electrical outlet.
    • Press and hold the UP arrow (Inflate) on the control wand to inflate the bed to its full capacity.
    • Release the arrow once the desired firmness is reached.
    • Initial inflation may result in a slight decrease in firmness as the material stretches; add more air to maintain desired firmness.
    • The bed must be at room temperature prior to inflating to prevent air leaks.
  • Firmness Adjustment: After initial inflation, lie on the bed and use the control wand to adjust firmness. Press the UP arrow for a firmer bed or the DOWN arrow (Adjust) for a softer bed.
  • Deflation:
    • Open the Quick Release Valve.
    • For compact storage, close the valve, then press and hold the DOWN arrow (Deflate) on the control wand until all air is expelled.
  • Portability: Comes with a carry bag for easy transport and storage.
  • Safety Features:
    • Adult supervision is required for children around the airbed and during pump operation.
    • Not a lifesaving device; do not use in or around water.
    • Not to be used as a raft or boat.
    • Do not inflate with an air compressor.
    • Keep away from fire and heat sources.
    • The carry bag should be kept away from children due to suffocation risk.
    • Not designed for children under 3 years of age due to suffocation and fall risks.
    • Product is for indoor use only.
    • Fill with cold air only; never use a hair dryer.
    • Do not overinflate.
    • Avoid contact with sharp objects.
    • Not intended for infants or persons with limited mobility.
    • Do not step or jump on the bed or use it as a trampoline.
    • Place on flat surfaces only, away from sharp edges, steps, drops, or breakable items.
    • The pump is an electrical product and not a toy; keep out of reach of small children and do not use in or around water.
    • The appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised.
    • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
    • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or service agent.
    • Do not block the air intake during operation.
    • Always monitor the pump during use.
  • Environmental Considerations: Air temperature and weather affect air pressure. In cold weather, the airbed may lose pressure; add air. In hot weather, air expands; release some air to prevent overpressure. Avoid exposing the airbed to extreme temperatures.

Maintenance Features:

  • Pre-Use Inspection: Inspect the AeroBed® product prior to each use for any damage.
  • Protection: Keep the airbed away from sharp objects to prevent punctures. Large cuts or snags may not be repairable and are not covered by warranty.

    • PVC Sides and Bottom: Clean with a mild dishwashing detergent or household cleaner. Do not use strong chemicals. Air dry completely before storing.
    • Cover/Valance (if included): Machine wash separately in warm water with mild soap/detergent. Tumble dry on LOW HEAT. Remove immediately after drying.

    • For persistent issues, contact Customer Service.
