The cutting edges of the shearing head might be blunted or not honed correctly, in which case you should have the product repaired by the manufacturer. Ensure you are only cutting dry animal hair. Insufficient shearing pressure also requires professional repair. A jammed shearing head should be demounted to remove any animal hair. If the shearing head is overheating, lubricate the cutting edges.
