What to do if Fluidics Station X does not respond on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment?
    • E
      Eileen WilliamsAug 18, 2025
If the Fluidics Station X does not respond, first ensure that the power is switched on. Then, verify that the correct fluidics station is designated for communication. Finally, check that all cables are firmly connected to the fluidics station.

How to fix a Missing Fluid Error on Affymetrix GeneChip Fluidics Station 450?
    • J
      John PerezAug 21, 2025
If the Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment shows a Missing Fluid Error, several issues could be the cause. Check for holes in the cartridge septa, ensure the sample or staining solution is correctly placed and contains sufficient volume (500 μL). Also, inspect for blockages in the sampling tube or fluidics station line, or a failure of the fluidics sensors. Lastly, see if the pump tubing is stretched too tightly. To resolve this, run the Recover script and use another cartridge if necessary. Ensure the sample or stain vial is properly placed. Add more sample solution if needed. Run the Clean or Prime script with fresh deionized (DI) water to clear any salt blockage. If the tubing is too tight, loosen the clamps to allow it to relax, then close them.

What to do if I see Error While Draining or Error While Filling on Affymetrix GeneChip Fluidics Station 450 Laboratory Equipment?
    • A
      Alejandra BestAug 23, 2025
If you encounter an Error While Draining or Filling on your Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment, it could be due to several reasons. These include defective septa in the cartridge, insufficient sample or stain volume, excessive bubbling in the cartridge, buffer conductivity being too low, or failure of one of the fluid sensors. As a solution, try using a new cartridge, adding more sample solution to the sample vial, changing the buffer to reduce detergent or increase salt.

What to do if I see Sensor Timeout on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment?
    • A
      Angela MartinezAug 26, 2025
If the Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment displays a Sensor Timeout, it means there was no user response to a prompt, such as "Remove Vial". To resolve this, simply start the selected script again.

Why is buffer leaking inside the Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment fluidics station?
    • M
      Monique Neal DVMAug 28, 2025
If buffer is leaking inside the fluidics station, this could be due to loose tubing attachments inside the fluidics station, the washblock requiring replacement or salt buildup in the lines of the fluidics station. Run the Clean or Prime script with fresh DI water to flush out salt blockage.

What causes cartridge needles of the fluidics station not engaging with the cartridge on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment?
    • L
      Lindsay SimonAug 30, 2025
If the cartridge needles of the fluidics station are not engaging with the cartridge, it could be due to defective septa or extra flashing on the cartridge, salt buildup on the needles, or improper alignment or engagement of the cartridge holder. Try using another cartridge. Run the Clean script with fresh DI water to flush out salt blockage. Clean cartridge needles with a wet cotton swab. Place the cartridge into the cartridge holder and firmly lift the lever to engage the cartridge needles.

Why sample needles do not properly enter vial on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment?
    • D
      dmcfarlandSep 1, 2025
If the sample needles do not properly enter vial on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment, it may be due to a bent sample needle or the user pressing the needle lever down too quickly or with too much force. Replace sample needle. Engage sample needle lever more slowly and/or with less force.

Why I recovered less sample than initial input during Recover script on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment?
    • J
      Jessica AlexanderSep 3, 2025
If you recovered less sample than initial input during Recover script on Affymetrix Laboratory Equipment, it is caused by loose tubing attachments inside the fluidics station.
