1. Fill
out the
repair
form
(located
on
the
next
page),
and
place
it
in
the
box
with the
instrument. Send
a
copy
of
any
noted
error
messages
or
other
helpful performance
data.
2.
T
o
help
prevent
damage
during
transit,
pack
the
instrument
in
the
factory
packaging
materials
.
Although
the
original
shipping
materials
or
equivalents
are
best;
the
following
instructions
result
in
acceptable
packaging:
a.
W
rap
the
instrument
in
anti-static
plastic
to
reduce
the
possibility
of
ESD damage
.
b. F
or instruments
that
weigh
less
than
54
kg
(120
lb),
use
a
double-walled, corrugated
cardboard carton
of
159
kg
(350
lb)
test
strength. The
carton must
be
both
large
enough
and
strong
enough
to
accommodate
the
instrument.
Allow
at
least
three
to
four
inches
on
all
sides
of
the
instrument
for
packing
material.
c.
Surround
the
equipment
with
three
to
four
inches
of
packing
material
to
protect
the
module
and
to
prevent
movement
in
the
carton.
If
packing
foam
is
not
available
,
the
best
alternative
is

from
Sealed
Air
Corporation,

Air
Cap
is
plastic
sheeting
lled
with
1-1/4
inch
air
bubbles
.
Use
pink
anti-static
Air
Cap
.
W
rapping
the
instrument
several
times
in
this
material should
provide
sucient
protection
and
also
prevent
movement
in
the
carton.

Seal
the
carton
with
strong
nylon
adhesive
tape
.
4.
Mark
the
carton FRA
GILE, HANDLE
WITH CARE.

Retain
copies
of
all
shipping papers
