ENGINE FIRE IN FLIGHT
PROCEDURE
Initiate immediately an emergency descent .
Collective : Decrease until torque is less
than 50%.
Shutdown the affected engine as follows:
ENG MODE switch : OFF (full counterclockwise).
Power lever : OFF.
ENG FUEL switch : OFF.
CROSSFEED switch : CLOSED.
Fuel pump : OFF.
GENerator : OFF.
If the fire is extinguished:
EDU 1 : ENG 1 (2) FIRE warning mes-
sage suppressed.
Engine power grip (affected engine) : Light out.
Land as soon as practical.
If fire is not extinguished land as soon as possible.
Complete engines shutdown.
Abandon the helicopter as soon as possible.
