This document describes the Aiphone PS-1225 series DC Power Supply for Intercom systems, including models PS-1225 (without AC plug), PS-1225UL (UL/CSA Listed), and PS-1225S (CE Listed). This product is designed exclusively for use with Aiphone Intercom Systems.

Function Description:

The PS-1225 series serves as a DC power supply unit, converting AC input power to DC 12V output to power Aiphone intercom systems. It is an essential component for the proper operation of compatible intercom systems.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Source: AC 100V - 240V, 50/60Hz. This wide input voltage range allows for global compatibility.
  • Power Consumption: 37W/65-82VA.
  • Secondary Output Voltage: DC 12V. This is the regulated DC voltage supplied to the intercom system.

  • Installation: The unit comes with a mounting bracket, screws, and an installation manual. It can be attached to a single-gang box or directly to a wall.
  • Connections:
    • AC Power: The AC cord plugs into the AC cord inlet and then into a wall socket. The type of plug varies by model and region.
    • DC Output: DC +, - wires are connected to the intercom system, observing polarity. A grounding wire connection is also required.
  • Safety Precautions (Warnings):
    • Do not connect to non-specified power sources.

Maintenance Features:

  • Troubleshooting: If the intercom system malfunctions, users are advised not to attempt to change or rectify wiring. Instead, qualified personnel should be contacted. If the system is not in use, the PS-1225 can be unplugged.
  • Warranty: Aiphone provides a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. The warranty covers bench repairs only, meaning repairs must be made at a shop or place designated by Aiphone. It does not cover misuse, neglect, accident, use in violation of instructions, repairs/alterations outside the factory, batteries, or on-site service call costs.
  • Important Note: In case of system or power supply malfunction or apparent trouble, unplug the power supply from the AC outlet.
