Installation Instructions
ROOF PITCH:
Turbine fit roofs with 3/12 to 12/12 pitches.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL - Install only one type of exhaust vent and remove or plug any existing vents (gable vents, roof louvers, ridge vents and
power fans). Install adequate intake ventilation for a Balanced System (50% Exhaust & 50% Intake) in accordance with state and local code requirements.
Intake vents must be installed low at the roof’s edge or in the soffit/undereave. Products such as Air Vent’s Continuous Soffit Vent, Vented Drip Edge,
Undereave Vents and The Edge™ Vent provide the necessary intake ventilation for optimum performance.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
• Phillips screwdriver • Carpenter’s level
• Putty knife • Keyhole or sabre saw
• Utility knife • Hammer
• Drill • Ruler

Installation Steps

Determine Roof Pitch

Use a pitch gauge on the roof peak with a straight edge to read the roof pitch from the printed gauge.

Align Collar and Secure Flashing

Turn collar to match roof pitch, align with flashing indicator, and secure with screws. Slide flashing under shingles and seal.

Cut and Seal Opening

Cut the hole as marked, seal around the top and sides with roofing cement, and secure flashing with nails.

Level and Secure Turbine

Turn collar counter-clockwise to level. Position turbine onto collar, align legs with slots, and secure with screws.

Final Checks and Adjustments

Check that the turbine turns freely. Gently pry the lowest point upward if necessary to remove any wobble.
