How to fix an AirCell ST 3100 Transceiver when the handset display shows 'no service'?
    • C
      Carlos WellsJul 31, 2025
If your AirCell Transceiver handset display indicates 'no service', ensure the system's satellite antenna has an unobstructed line of sight to the sky in all directions. Once the line of sight is clear, the system should register on the satellite network within 60 seconds. If the 'NO SVC' indicator remains, it suggests an installation or equipment issue.

What to do if my AirCell ST 3100 handset display is not illuminated on multiple handsets?
    • D
      Daniel WhiteAug 7, 2025
If none of the handset displays are illuminated, it indicates that the ASE system is not receiving power. First, check that the aircraft power system (master avionics switch) is turned on and that the ASE system circuit breaker is closed. Inspect the displays of all installed handsets. Check the system connections and wiring between the transceiver and the aircraft power system, repairing or reconnecting any issues. Ring out the power lines according to the system wiring diagram, repairing any broken wires or adjusting to match the diagram.

What to do if one AirCell ST 3100 Transceiver handset display is not illuminated?
    • F
      Felicia NelsonAug 15, 2025
If only one of the multiple handsets integrated into your ASE system is not illuminated, the problem is likely a bad handset, a bad connection, or faulty wiring between that handset cradle and the transceiver. Start by visually inspecting all connections to ensure they match the system wiring diagram and correct any issues. Try switching the 'dead' handset with one that is known to be working. If the handset is still not working in the new location, then the handset is faulty. Check specifically for 9V power and ground leads on the HS power line from the Transceiver system connector by ringing out the lines as per the system wiring diagram. Repair any broken wires or rework the system wiring harness to match the wiring diagram.

Why is there no satellite mode signal on my AirCell ST 3100 Transceiver?
    • D
      dferrellAug 22, 2025
A lack of satellite mode signal on your AirCell system could be due to a problem with the satellite RF channel. Begin by visually inspecting the ASE system satellite antenna, ensuring it's installed correctly on the aircraft fuselage according to the system antenna installation drawings. Also, visually inspect the RF satellite channel, including the coaxial connections to the antenna and the system transceiver.
