presence of any objects hindering the radio signal
transmission.
The detector should be installed at the ceiling in the highest
point where hot air and smoke will concentrate.
Prior to the attachment of the detector to a surface with
screws, please perform signal level test in the Ajax Security
System application for at least a minute. This will
demonstrate communication quality between the detector
and the hub and ensures proper installation place selection.
Prior to installing FireProtect Plus, check the smoke detector.
Switch on the device and press the touch
"Test"
button (logo)
up to 6 seconds - the detector will test the smoke chamber
with electronic simulation of smoke presence and in case of
successful test will switch on the siren for 5 seconds. If you
didn’t hear the sound - do not use the detector.
1. Fix the SmartBracket panel on the surface using the
bundled screws or other no less reliable attachment
hardware.
2. Put the detector on the panel - single blink of the indicator
will confirm that the tamper has been actuated. Turn the
detector clockwise to fix it in SmartBracket.
The detector is connected to the Hub and set up via the Ajax
Security System mobile application. To establish connection
please locate the detector and the Hub within the
communication range and follow the device adding
procedure.
To connect the detector to a third party security central unit
using the Ajax uartBridge or Ajax ocBridge Plus integration
module, follow the recommendations in the user manual of
the respective device.
You can disable actuation of the alarm in the FireProtect Plus
settings in case of the exceeded temperature threshold
(above 60°С) and fast temperature increase in the room.
If several FireProtect and/or FireProtect Plus sensors are
installed on the object (with firmware versions 3.42 and
higher), you could enable interconnect in the Ajax Hub
settings. This function enables simultaneous activation the
fire detectors buzzers when a fire, smoke or dangerous CO
concentration is detected by one of them.
