Be
fore
Operation
When
using
the
tape
jacks
of
an
amplifier,
set
the
amplifier
to
the
tape
monitor
mode.
For
details,
see
the
operator’s
manual
of
your
amplifier.
The
Tone
Controls
on
the
amplifier
should
be
in
the
center
position
or
in
the
defeat
position,
so
that
they
are
not
engaged.
The
joud-
ness
switch,
filter
switch,
etc.
should
also
be
in
off
position.

Before
turning
on
the
power
of
the
EA-GQ90,
the
volume
control
on
the
amplifier
should
be
set
to
the
minimum
level.
Set
the
Frequency
Level
Controls
to
the
center
position
("0").

Listening
to
signals
from
a
record
or
tuner
with
equalizer
compensa-
tion
Turn
OFF
both
the
Recording
(REC)
switch
and
the
TAPE
MONITOR
switch
of
EA-G90.

Turn
on
the
EA-G90
by
depressing
the
POWER
switch.

Select
the
input
source,
adjust
the
volume
control,
and
start
play-
back.

Turn
ON
the
EQUALIZER
switch
of
the
EA-G90.
.
Set
the
CONTROL
RANGE
selector.
.
Adjust
the
Channel
Frequency
Level
controls
to
obtain
the
desired
equalizer
compensation.
If
recording
is
done
on
a
tape
deck
connected
to
the
EA-G90
at
this
time,
ordinary
signals
will
be
recorded.

Listening
to
equalizer
compensated
signals
while
recording
.
Turn
ON
the
EQUALIZER
switch
of
the
EA-G90.
-
Turn
ON
(4m)
the
Recording
{REC)
switch
of
the
EA-G90,
so
that
equalizer
compensated
signals
can
be
recorded.

Put
the
tape
deck
connected
to
the
EA-G90
in
standby
for
record-
ing.
For
details,
please
refer
to
the
operator's
manual
of
your
tape
deck.

Set
the
CONTROL
RANGE
selector.

Choose
a
source
for
recording
with
the
amplifier,
start
playback,
and
adjust
the
Channel
Frequency
Level
controls
to
obtain
the
desired
equalizer
compensation.

After
adjusting
the
recording
input
level
of
the
tape
deck,
the
just
recorded
signals
can
be
monitored
by
turning
ON
(
=m)
the
TAPE
MONITOR
switch
of
the
EA-G90.

Listening
to
signals
from
a
tape
deck
with
equalizer
comperssation
Turn
OFF
(
#1)
the
Recording
(REC)
switch
of
the
EA-G90.
Turn
ON
the
EQUALIZER
switch
of
the
EA-G90.
Turn
ON
(
am)
the
TAPE
MONITOR
switch
of
the
EA-G9O.

Put
the
tape
deck
in
playback
mode.

Set
the
CONTROL
RANGE
selector.

Adjust
the
Channel
Frequency
Level
controls
of
the
EAX-G90
to
obtain
the
desired
equalizer
compensation.
For
adjustment
of
the
output
level,
use
the
volume
control
of
the
amplifier
or
the
output
control
of
the
tape
deck.
