reversed

Sensing
Tape

Prevents
sudden
tension
from
being
applied
to
tape.
Is
inter-
locked
with
automatic
stop
and
incorporates
a
One-Way
Damp
Mechanism
to
effect
smooth
tape

LEVER

MUTE
OFF
Used
during
recording
(playback)
to
temporarily
suspend
tape
travel.
When
lever
is
pushed
down
in

direction,
the
tape
wili
temporarily
stop,
and
when
pushed
down
again,
the
tape
will
be
teleased.
When
REC
MUTE
is
positioned
ON,
pushing
down
of
PAUSE
LEVER
will
cause
REC
MUTE
to
be
released.

During
recording
or
playback,
operation
in
such
modes
as
one-way
recording
(playback),
two-way
recording
(playback)
and
continuous
playback
is
possible.

to
the
position

which
the
Selector
has

original
position

the
Input
Controls
at
Fade-In,
Fade-Out
and
Mixing

record-
ing.

MICROPHONE
INPUT

Used
for
adjusting
recording
input
level
for
microphone
input.
The
control
on
the
inner
side
is
for
the
left
channel,
and
that
on
the
outer
side
for

right.
To
allow
simple
Fade-lIn
and
Fade-Out,
the
left
and
right
controls
are
not
only
made
coaxial
but
are
of
the
friction
type
that
makes
them
turn
together.

LINE
INPUT
CONTROLS
(REC
LEVEL--LINE)
Employed
for
adjusting
recording
input
level
for
line
input.
The
one
on
the
inner
side
is
for
the
left
channel,
and
that
on
the
outer
side
for
the
right.
To
allow
simple
Fade-In
and
Fade-Out,
the
left
and
right
controls
are
not
only
made
coaxial
but
are
of
the
friction
type
that
makes
them
turn
together.

MICROPHONE
JACK
(MIC)
When
using
a
microphone,
insert
the
microphone
plug
into
this
jack.
Use
LEFT
for
the
left
channel
and
RIGHT
for
the
right
channel.
RECORDING
LEVER
(REQ)
Do
not
forget
to
set
it
to
the
ON
position
during
recording.
For
stereo
recording,
both
the
Right
and
Left
Lever
should
be
positioned
ON,
whereas
for
monaural
recording,
either
the
right
or
left
lever
need
only
be
positioned
ON.
Be
sure
to
keep
the
Lever
in
a
pushed-down
position
during
times
other
than
recording
as
they
also
function
as
a
switch
to
prevent
erasing
by
mistake
when
Timer
Start
Switch
is
used.
PAPE
SELFCTOR
Set
to
LOW
NOISE,
or
WIDE
RANGE
according
to
the
type
of
tape.
