If your Akira Air Conditioner compressor won't run while the fan motor does, there are several potential causes. Begin by checking the voltage and call the Supply Authority if it's not within limits. Inspect the wire connections; repair or replace loose terminals and correct any misplaced wires according to the wiring diagram. Check the voltage of the main PCB and replace it if it's open. Examine the capacitor and replace it if it's not within +/-10% of the manufacturer's rating or if it's shorted, open, or damaged. Ensure the room temperature setting is at the coolest in cooling mode or the warmest in heating mode. Finally, check the compressor for open circuits or grounding; if either is present, replace the compressor.
