OPERATION
Safety instructions – operation
Read the instructions for use before operating the AL-KO support system for the first time. There you
will find important information for the better and safer use of the remote control and the AL-KO support
system.
Do not use the AL-KO support system to jack up your caravan. The supports of your caravan are
intended for stabilisation only. The AL-KO support system is not intended for jacking up or levelling
the caravan.
Before using the AL-KO support system, ensure that your caravan is level in all directions.
Always apply the handbrake before starting any action with the AL-KO support system.
Always inspect the AL-KO support system incl. cables and pipes for damage before use. Replace
defective components before use!
In the event of a defect or malfunction, turn off the main switch.
In order to avoid interruptions in the wireless connection between hand-held transmitter and control
unit of the AL-KO support system, ensure that the distance between remote control and the caravan
does not exceed 5 m during use.
Wireless remote operations are always dependent on radio signals. These signals can be interfered
with by external influences. In the event of a fault caused by a radio signal, the AL-KO support system
must be temporarily stopped until the signal is free of interference again (communication status is
visible on the remote control).
Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of the original supports.
Do not place any sensitive equipment such as cameras, DVD players, etc. in the vicinity of the control
unit or power cables. They can be damaged by electromagnetic fields.
Ensure that people and animals are kept at a safe distance during operation / usage!
If necessary, call on a 2nd person to monitor the danger area!
Children and persons unfamiliar with these instructions for use may not use the device, nor may they
perform any maintenance or cleaning.
Persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons with insufficient know-
ledge or experience may not use the device unless they are supervised or instructed by a person
who is responsible for their safety.
