The Adixen ACM 2000 is a multi-channel controller designed to provide power, control, and pressure display for one, two, or three gauges simultaneously. It can be operated via its front panel or externally through a computer using its built-in RS232 link.
Function Description:
The ACM 2000 supports a variety of gauges, including:
- PIRANI gauges: AP 2004 - APN 2004
- Combined PIRANI/Cold cathode gauges: ACC 2009
- Combined CRYSTAL/Hot cathode gauges: AHC 2010
- Capacitive gauges: ASD 200X, ARD 200X series
The controller performs automatic testing upon start-up, identifies connected gauges, and continues operation with the parameters active before power-off. It switches to "Measuring" mode, displaying the sensor that was active previously, and adapts parameters if gauges have changed.

- Set Point Management: Two set points per channel are available to control external devices. These set points have high and low thresholds and can be configured to open or close based on pressure signals.
- RS232 Communication: Allows external control and data retrieval via a computer. Baud rate and end-of-line characters are configurable.
- Settings Lock: A "LOCK" function prevents unauthorized modification of settings.
- Pressure Units: Selectable units include mbar, Torr, and Pascal.
- Digit Display: Choose between 2 or 3 digit display for values (not for capacitive gauges).
- Decimal Point Position: For capacitive gauges, the decimal point position in the displayed pressure value can be modified, with the exponent changing accordingly.
- Full Scale Setting: For capacitive gauges, the top value in the measuring range can be specified.
- Degassing Function (AHC 2010): Cleans the electrode system of combined CRYSTAL/Hot Cathode gauges by heating, permitted for pressures < 5x10-3 mbar.
- Hot Cathode Deactivation (AHC 2010): Deactivates the hot cathode gauge, displaying only CRYSTAL gauge pressure values.
- Zero Function (Capacitive Gauges): Assigns a measured pressure value as a datum point, allowing negative readings for pressures below this value (only within -0.2V to +0.2V analog output range).
- Data Recording: Start and stop pressure data recording by pressing the "CH" key for two seconds while in Graph display mode.
Maintenance Features:
- Decontamination and Product Recycling: Adixen products at the end of their service life must be returned to the manufacturer for decontamination and reuse, in compliance with Directive 2002/96/CE and 2002/9/CE. A safety questionnaire must be filled out in advance.
- Self-Tests: The controller includes various test modes accessible via the "SET" button:
- Analog/Digital converter test: Checks gauge input voltage and gauge identification resistance.
- Controller display test: Visually checks display quality for dead pixels.
- Memory tests: Checks "Live" memory (RAM) and "Program" memory (EEPROM).
- Controller interface tests: Verifies recorder output voltage, input/output relay switching, front panel buttons, and RS232 link data transfer.
- Factory Default Settings: All settings can be restored to their factory default values at any time.
- Error Messages: A comprehensive list of error messages is provided, indicating possible faults and recommended actions for troubleshooting.
- Rack Mounting: The controller can be rack-mounted, but requires 20 mm free space around it and a fan to avoid overheating if ambient temperature exceeds 50°C.
