Do you have a question about the ALEAPOW MTM350B and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The ALEAPW X12 (Model: MTM350B) is a 360° self-leveling cross-line laser level designed for determining and checking horizontal and vertical lines in enclosed working sites.

Function Description:

The device projects 360° horizontal and vertical laser lines, allowing for precise leveling and alignment tasks. It features a self-leveling mode, which automatically adjusts the laser beams to ensure accuracy within a specified range. For situations where self-leveling is not required or when projecting non-level lines, a manual mode is available. The laser level also includes a pulse mode, which enables it to work with a laser detector for improved visibility in brighter environments or over longer distances. The device is powered by a built-in, non-removable Li-ion battery and features a USB Type-C charging port.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: MTM350B
  • Laser Class: Class 2 (IEC/EN60825-1/2014)
  • Laser Wavelength: 520 ± 5nm
  • Leveling Accuracy: ±3mm/10m
  • Horizontal Vertical Accuracy: ±3mm/10m
  • Leveling/Compensation Range: 4° ± 1°
  • Working Distance (Line): 45m
  • Working Distance (Line with Detector): 60m
  • Operating Time (all laser beams on): 6 Hours
  • Power Source: Li-ion Battery (3.7V/5200mAh)
  • IP Rating: IP54
  • Operation Temperature Range: -10°C to +50°C
  • Storage Temperature Range: -20°C to +70°C
  • Threaded Mount: 1/4"-20

Usage Features:

  • Turning ON: A short press of the Power Button turns the laser tool ON.
  • Turning OFF: To turn off, first slide the pendulum/transit lock to the locked position, then press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. The laser level can only be turned off when the pendulum/transit is locked.
  • Line Switching: Repeated short presses of the power button cycle through different laser line compositions.
  • Self-leveling Mode: Activated when the pendulum/transit is in the unlocked position. Laser beams blink fast if the tool is out of its 4° ± 1° self-leveling range.
  • Manual Mode: Activated when the pendulum/transit is in the locked position. This mode allows the laser tool to be positioned at various angles to project non-level lines. Laser beams will blink every 3-5 seconds to indicate manual mode, and these lines should not be used as horizontal or vertical references.
  • Pulse Mode: Activated by pressing the "P" button. In this mode, the laser level can be used with a laser detector for brighter environments or longer working distances. Pressing "P" again returns to normal mode; note that the laser beam is dimmer in pulse mode.
  • Battery Indication: LED indicators show battery capacity (75%-100%, 50%-75%, 25%-50%, 0%-25%). During charging, the battery icon scrolls, and flashes when charging is complete.
  • Charging: The device uses a USB Type-C port for charging with a DC 5V and 1A/2A adapter. Initial charging is recommended for over 8 hours, with subsequent charges between 6 and 24 hours. Charge the device within 24 hours when the low battery indicator flashes or the tool turns off due to low power. Optimal charging temperature is 0°C to 20°C (32°F -68°F). For long-term storage, fully charge and remove the battery, storing it in a dry, room-temperature environment. If unused for extended periods, charge the lithium battery once every 6 months for at least 6 hours.

Maintenance Features:

  • Storage: When not in use, power off the tool and engage the pendulum lock. Store the tool in its case. If storing for an extended time, remove batteries to prevent damage.
  • Cleaning: Exterior plastic parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth. NEVER use solvents. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture before storage.
  • Temperature Exposure: Do not store the laser tool in direct sunlight or expose it to high temperatures, as this can deform plastic parts.
  • Accuracy Checks: It is recommended to perform an accuracy check before first use and periodically thereafter, especially for precise layouts.
  • Repairs: Only qualified specialists using original spare parts should repair the measuring tool to ensure safety.
  • Disposal: Do not dispose of the product or batteries with household waste. Recycle according to local provisions for electrical and electronic waste (WEEE Directive) and battery disposal (European Guideline 2006/66/EC).
  • Battery Safety: Adhere to Li-ion battery safety instructions to prevent personal injury, fire, or property damage. Do not short circuit, charge unattended, disassemble, or modify the battery. Keep batteries away from children and pets. Discontinue use immediately if the battery shows any abnormalities (unusual smell, heat, color/shape changes). Never charge or store batteries in a car or in high-pressure containers, microwave ovens, or induction cookware. Avoid carrying or storing batteries with metal objects. In case of skin exposure to battery electrolytes, flush with water immediately. For eye exposure, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek emergency care.
  • Magnetic Interference: Keep the measuring tool away from cardiac pacemakers, magnetic data media, and magnetically-sensitive equipment, as the magnets can impair function or lead to irreversible data loss.
