Possible causes of the temperature
measured being too low:
• The thermometer is not far enough or at an
angle in the ear. Place the thermometer in the
ear correctly and measure the temperature
again.
• The temperature sensor is dirty. Clean it and
measure the temperature again.
• The ear canal is blocked or dirty. Clean it or
measure the temperature in the other ear.
