3. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Please read this manual carefully before using the device. Afterwards, keep this booklet for reference.
• If you resell the appliance, provide this booklet with the appliance.
• The appliance is intended for domestic use only.
• This appliance is not a toy for children. Therefore, keep this unit and its accessories out of the reach of
children.
• This product may not be used by people of reduced physical or mental capabilities without the proper
supervision.
• Never leave the unit unattended.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the appliance itself is damaged.
• Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.
• Before plugging in the power cord, make sure the voltage matches the voltage on the product label on the
bottom of the product.
• Use the unit only on a dry, at, heat-resistant surface.
• Never place the unit on or near a hot surface or open ame.
• After each use, disconnect the appliance from the power supply by unplugging the power cord.
• When cleaning the appliance, always unplug it and allow it to cool down rst.
• Never immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
• Do not rinse the unit under the tap.
• Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, bleach or aggressive liquids such as gasoline, acetone or
alcohol to clean the unit or accessories.
• Regular descaling prevents damage to the device.
• Never place the base and accessories in a microwave oven.
• Large amounts of hot steam are created during sterilization. Make sure you do not dismantle the device
while the product is on.
• Never use the sterilizer function without water in it.
• Do not move an appliance containing hot liquid.
• Beware of hot water splashes when the water is boiling. For protection, always use the steam lid to close
the BF55 top tray.
• In the event of improper use or use not in accordance with the instructions, the warranty will become void
• Use only the accessories supplied with this product.
