This document describes the Allen + Roth 48" Glass Panel Soft Close Shower, model number 3592193, also identified as SKU #ELLUM-SC-48GP-CH (Chrome) and #ELLUM-SC-48GP-SN (Satin Nickel). This is a frameless sliding shower door system designed for residential use, featuring a soft-close mechanism for smooth and quiet operation.

Function Description:

The shower system consists of a fixed glass panel and a sliding glass door, mounted on a wall track and supported by a horizontal bar. The sliding door operates on rollers along the support bar, allowing for easy entry and exit. A key feature is the integrated soft-close mechanism, which ensures the door closes gently without slamming. The system is designed to provide a watertight enclosure for a shower area.

Material: Glass panels, metal tracks and support bars (available in Chrome or Satin Nickel finish), and rubber fittings for sealing.
Soft Close Mechanism (P): Two units are pre-installed in the support bar (F). A mechanism reset tool (KK) is provided for future adjustments.

Cement Thickness for Shower Base: Recommended between 25 mm and 38 mm (1 to 1.5 inches).
Shower Base Installation: The base should be installed on the studs, not directly on the drywall.

Usage Features:

Sliding Door Operation: The door glides smoothly on rollers along the support bar, providing a wide opening for easy access.
Soft Close Functionality: The integrated soft-close mechanism ensures the door closes gently and quietly, enhancing user comfort and preventing damage from slamming. This mechanism can be reset if needed using the provided tool.
Reversible Installation: The shower door can be installed for either a right-opening or left-opening configuration, offering flexibility to suit different bathroom layouts. Users should refer to illustrations A and B in the manual to determine the desired opening direction.
Watertight Seal: Various seal strips (E, G, I, N, O) are installed around the glass panels and door to ensure a watertight enclosure, preventing leaks. Silicone sealant is also applied during installation for additional sealing.
Handle: A robust door handle (M) is provided for easy gripping and operation of the sliding door.

Maintenance Features:

Daily Cleaning: For daily maintenance, use a wet cloth and a soft liquid cleaner.
Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners containing acetone, chlorine, strong bleach, scrapers, metallic brushes, or any other objects or products that could scratch or tarnish surfaces.
Bolt Tightening: All bolts supporting the fixed glass panels or door panel should be strongly tightened using a ratchet. These support bolts can withstand up to 250 lbf*in (28.25 N.m) of torque.
Regular Bolt Checks: It is recommended to check and re-tighten these bolts every 4 months to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the shower enclosure.
Soft Close Mechanism Reset: The soft close mechanism can be reset using the provided mechanism reset tool (KK) if it needs adjustment in the future. It is important to save this tool.

Installation requires at least two people.
All local and national building and plumbing codes must be followed.
Professional installation is recommended.
It is crucial to verify all parts are present and undamaged before assembly.
Any modification or alteration not specified in the manual will void the warranty.
Improper installation can lead to damage to the unit or personal property, and may void the warranty due to water damage.
