Mounting and Installation

Unit Mounting and Location

Mount the unit 12 inches off the ground, away from irrigation, and centrally between fixtures.

Fixture Load Calculation

Calculate total fixture load, add 10%, and do not exceed transformer output.

Wiring Connections

Use 12 gauge or larger cable, strip 3/8 inch, and insert into terminal lugs.

Power Connection

Plug the unit's power cord into a live AC outlet; the green POWER LED indicates AC presence.

Device Application Setup and Operation

Smartphone Requirements

Ensure smartphone is Bluetooth Smart capable and has Bluetooth/Location Services enabled.

App Download and Installation

Search 'Intelligent Transformer' in App/Play Store and download the 'Alliance' app.

Connecting the Transformer to the App

Plug in the unit, open the app, and select the transformer's serial number.

Bluetooth Connection and Default Program

Yellow LED blinks upon connection; GPS, date/time transfer; Dusk-to-Dawn is default.

Location Services and Zip Code Entry

If location services are off, enter zip code for automatic location saving.

Verifying System Operation

Use the dashboard to turn fixtures on/off and confirm the system is working.

Use the menu to navigate screens; access help or website for detailed instructions.
