What to do if there is audible interference in Alto Professional Extender transmission?
    • W
      William MiddletonAug 6, 2025
Audible interference can be frustrating. To address this, first, ensure the receiver and transmitter are within 200 feet (60 meters) and have a clear line of sight. Make sure the receiver isn't near metal objects or devices that could cause RF interference. Try changing the RF frequency and channel on both the transmitter and receiver, ensuring they match. If using multiple transmitter-receiver pairs, use only one pair at a time, or ensure they aren't using the same or adjacent frequencies. Adjusting the squelch control setting may also help. If a higher squelch setting is needed due to poor signal quality, try eliminating the source of interference or switching the channel to maintain signal range.

Why is the Alto Professional Extender signal distorted?
    • B
      bryangregoryAug 16, 2025
Signal distortion can stem from several sources. Begin by ensuring the receiver isn't located near metal objects or devices that might cause RF interference. Keep any connected audio cables away from the antennas. Verify that no other devices are transmitting signals on the same RF frequency and channel. If issues persist, try changing the RF frequency and channel on both the transmitter and the receiver, making sure they are set to the same channel.

How to troubleshoot no sound from Alto Professional Extender receiver?
    • L
      Lori HartOct 26, 2025
If the receiver isn't producing sound, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the power adapter is correctly connected to both the receiver and a functioning power source. Next, verify that the receiver's audio output is properly connected to your mixer or amplifier system. Confirm that the volume controls on your mixer and speaker are adequately turned up. Also, check that both the transmitter and receiver are set to the same RF frequency and channel. Ensure that the receiver and transmitter are within 200 feet (60 meters) with a clear line of sight, and that the receiver isn't near metal objects or devices causing RF interference. Finally, try adjusting the squelch control setting. If a high squelch setting is needed due to poor signal quality, try to eliminate the interference ...
