OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Section I: Introduction
Operator Safety
WARNING
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if personnel fail to observe the safety
precautions labeled on the equipment and noted in this manual. HIGH VOLTAGE is
used in the operation of this equipment.
To prevent blindness or eye injury, wear safety goggles at all times during welding.
Be careful of moving parts. You can be injured by moving parts during welding.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry around moving parts. They could get caught
and cause injury.
Before You Start
Before operating the Power Supply, you must be familiar with the following:
The principles of resistance welding and the use of programmed weld schedules.
The location and function of Controls and Indicators (see Chapter 1).
How to select and use the Power Supply functions for your specific welding application.
For more information (see Chapter 3).
Check that the display screen and lamps are turned on normally.
Preparing for Operation
Verify that the available electrical service meets the electrical requirements shown in Appendix A,
Technical Specifications. The electrical and water supplies must also meet all applicable local, state, and
federal safety standards.
