      Amy LewisSep 13, 2025
Verify that the freezer door is closed. The power is removed from the control when the freezer door is opened. Also, ensure the refrigerator is plugged in. If the issue persists, replace any blown fuses or check circuit breakers for any tripped circuits. In case of a power outage, contact your local power company.

    • M
      Mark JohnsonAug 25, 2025
If your Amana Refrigerator's ice maker isn't producing ice, first check if the ice maker arm is down. If not, put it down. Next, make sure the household water supply is reaching the water valve. Also, inspect the copper tubing for kinks; if found, turn off the water supply and remove them, replacing the tubing if necessary. Confirm that the water pressure is between 35 to 100 pounds per square inch. Ensure the freezer temperature is between 0° to 2° F (-18° to -17° C). Verify that the ice bin is installed correctly. Finally, check that a proper water valve was installed.

      Lisa RuizAug 26, 2025
If your Amana Refrigerator ice maker isn't producing enough ice or the ice is malformed, give it 24 hours to begin producing ice or to restock after a large amount has been used. Ensure that the water pressure is between 35 and 100 pounds per square inch, as a minimum of 35 pounds is recommended for refrigerators with water filters. If you have a water filter, consider changing it, as it may be clogged.

      Amy BrandtAug 31, 2025
If the water flow in your Amana Refrigerator is slower than normal, ensure that the water pressure is between 35 to 100 pounds per square inch. Make sure the saddle valve is completely open. If an improper water valve was installed, see Connecting the Water Supply pages 4 and 5. Check the copper tubing for kinks and remove them after turning off the water supply, replacing the tubing if necessary. If you have a water filter, consider changing it, as it may be clogged. Open the water valve completely and check for leaks, noting that the minimum flow at the dispenser should be approximately 10 fluid ounces in nine seconds with a new filter or approximately 10 fluid ounces in five seconds without a filter.
