Signal words
Note the use of signal words WARNING and CAUTION with the safety
messages.
The signal word for each message has been selected using the following
guidelines:
WARNING
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in injury.
HOT SURFACE
Indicates that the marked item can be hot and should not be touched without
taking care!
NOTICE
Is used to address practices not related to physical injury.
