Overview

This document describes the Digital Ultrasonic Cleaner, model CD-7810(A), a device designed for cleaning various items using ultrasonic technology.

Function Description:

The Digital Ultrasonic Cleaner operates by stimulating a transducer with high-frequency vibrations, generating 42,000Hz ultrasonic waves. When the stainless steel tank is filled with plain water and an item is submerged, these ultrasonic waves create numerous tiny bubbles. These bubbles constantly implode, impacting the surface of the item. This impact effectively splits dirt into many granules, separating them from the item's surface, which then fall into the water. This process allows for thorough cleaning without scratching, making it suitable for delicate items.

The device offers five optional working cycles (180s, 280s, 380s, 480s, and 90s), allowing users to select the appropriate cleaning duration based on the item's quantity and condition. The unit features a digital program to control these working cycles. An indication light illuminates when cleaning starts, and the remaining time is displayed on the screen. The unit automatically stops when the cycle is complete.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Item Number: CD-7810(A)
  • Dimensions: 210mm x 158mm x 125mm
  • Tank Size: 750ml (approximately 1.3 pint)
  • Power Supply: AC 220~240V, 50Hz
  • Power: 50 W
  • Timer Setting: 5 cycles (180s, 280s, 380s, 480s, 90s)
  • Weight: 1.00 kg
  • Ultrasonic Frequency: 42,000Hz
  • Tank Material: Stainless Steel
  • Circuitry: Quiet, solid state

Usage Features:

The cleaner is designed for ease of use with a straightforward operation:

  1. Preparation: Open the lid, fill the stainless steel tank with water, and submerge the item to be cleaned. Ensure the "MAX" mark is not exceeded. Running the unit without water can cause damage.
  2. Power On: Close the lid and plug in the unit.
  3. Cycle Selection: When electrified, 180s is displayed by default. Press the "SET" button repeatedly to cycle through the five available cleaning times (180s, 280s, 380s, 480s, 90s).
  4. Start Cleaning: Press the "ON" button to begin cleaning. The red indication light will turn on, and the remaining time will be displayed. A "ZIZI" sound indicates normal operation.
  5. Stopping/Restarting: The unit automatically stops when the time reaches 000, and the red light turns off. To stop cleaning mid-cycle, press "OFF." To resume a paused cycle, press "ON." To renew a working cycle, press "SET."
  6. Completion: After cleaning, unplug the unit, open the lid, remove the item, and pour out the water.

Four Ways of Cleaning:

  • General Cleaning: Use plain water.
  • Enhanced Cleaning: For smeary or very dirty items, add about 5-10 ml of detergent to the water.
  • Cleaning by Parts: For large items, place them as shown in the manual's illustrations to ensure proper cleaning.
  • Extensive Cleaning: For items requiring extensive cleaning or sterilization, first use "Enhanced Cleaning," then replace with clean water and add 5-10 ml of liquid soap (hand washing soap). Run the unit for a 90s cycle.

Disk Cleaning Guidance:

The cleaner can effectively remove dirt from CDs, VCDs, and DVDs within 2 minutes without scratching.

  1. Place disks onto the disk holder (up to two disks at a time).
  2. Insert the holder into the tank filled with normal water.
  3. Cautions: Do not use warm or hot water as it can easily remove print marks. Do not clean disks more than twice continuously; generally, 90 seconds is sufficient for one clean. Ultrasonic cleaning only works on surface dirt; scratches cannot be repaired.

Usage of Optional Accessories:

  • Plastic Basket: For small items, place them in the plastic basket, then put the basket into the tank. This reduces friction between the item and the tank. Note that the plastic basket absorbs about 30% of ultrasonic energy, reducing cleaning effectiveness. For optimal results with the basket, refer to "Enhanced Cleaning" instructions.
  • Watch Stand: For watches with waterproofing capability less than 30 meters, do not immerse them directly. Use the watch stand to immerse only the watchband in water while keeping the watch itself above the water. Similar to the plastic basket, the watch stand also absorbs ultrasonic energy. Refer to "Enhanced Cleaning" for effective cleaning with the watch stand.

Maintenance Features:

  • After Use: Pour out the water and wipe up the tank and its surface. Do not wash the unit with water to avoid electric shock.
  • Storage: Keep the unit in a cool and dry place.
  • Temperature Control: To prevent damage from high temperatures, shut down the cleaner for at least 3 minutes and change the used water after every three 480s working cycles.
  • Interference Recovery: If the product turns off or cannot be switched off due to electromagnetic interference (Fast Transients or Surge voltage), it can recover by re-plugging it into the socket and resetting the function.

Safety Instructions (Summary):

  • Always unplug the unit immediately after use or before servicing/cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Do not use while bathing or with wet hands.
  • Keep the unit on a dry, level surface, away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not disassemble the unit except for authorized technicians.
  • Do not fill the tank with abrasives or corrosive chemicals.
  • Do not exceed the "MAX" fill mark.
  • Never leave the unit unattended when plugged in.
  • Do not use outdoors or where aerosol products or oxygen are being administered.
  • If the cord or plug is damaged, or if the unit is not working properly, return it to a service center for examination and repair.
  • Do not drop or insert objects into openings or hoses.
  • Keep air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug; if it doesn't fit fully, reverse the plug. If it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  • Not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised.
  • Items that are easily discolored (textiles, leather, wood) are not recommended for ultrasonic cleaning.
  • Do not put non-waterproof mobile phones or watches, or spectacle frames/artware made from shell/hawksbill into the tank.
  • Do not use the product if there isn't water in the cleaning tank.
