Do you have a question about the Amica WTP 488 030 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document provides a quick start guide and program table for a tumble dryer, model WTP 488 030.
The tumble dryer is designed to efficiently dry various types of laundry. Before initial use, it is crucial to level the appliance and read the detailed operating instructions, paying special attention to safety guidelines. The dryer should not be started until it is properly set up.
The appliance offers a range of programs tailored for different fabric types and desired dryness levels. It is recommended to only dry delicate fabrics, synthetics, and wool using their designated programs and to adhere to the maximum load sizes specified in the program table. Proper operation, including keeping the drum seal dry by leaving the door ajar after drying, helps extend the appliance's lifetime. Harsh or abrasive detergents should not be used for cleaning.
To optimize drying results and energy efficiency, laundry should be spun in a washing machine before tumble drying; higher spin speeds reduce drying time and save energy. For uniform drying, laundry should be sorted by fabric type and drying program. Before loading, ensure all locks, hooks, and buttons are closed, and belts are fastened. Over-drying should be avoided as it can cause creasing. Rubber and elastic materials should not be tumble dried. To prevent scalding from steam or hot components, the door should only be opened after the drying program has completed. Regular cleaning of the appliance filters after each use is essential to prevent extended drying cycles and increased energy consumption. Clothes that have been dry cleaned should not be put in the dryer. The appliance also offers specific programs to refresh woollen clothing, making fabrics fresh and fluffy.
To start a program, first select the desired drying program using the program selector knob. The Start/Pause indicator will flash, signaling that a program has been selected. Pressing the Start/Pause button initiates the program, and the indicator will illuminate steadily, along with the drying indicator lights. If the door is opened while a program is running, the appliance will switch to standby. To resume, close the door and press the Start/Pause button. It is advised not to keep the door open for an extended period if it needs to be opened during a running program.
At the completion of a program, several indicators will light up: Start/Pause, water container full, clean the lint filter, and clean the heat exchanger. A beep will also sound to signal the program's end. Once the program is finished, laundry can be removed, and the appliance can be prepared for the next cycle.
The control panel features several buttons and indicators:
The guide highlights the importance of cleaning the lint filter and heat exchanger after each use to maintain efficiency and prevent energy waste. Leaving the door ajar after drying helps keep the drum seal dry, contributing to the appliance's longevity.
The dryer offers a variety of programs with specific maximum load capacities, applications, and default settings:

Synthetics Programmes:
Special Programmes:
Many programs offer optional functions such as Delay Start, Buzzer Cancel, Child Lock, Delicate, Drying Level, and Anti-Crease, indicated by a 'V' in the program table.
Note on Energy Efficiency: The "standard cotton program" (Cotton Cupboard Dry) is identified as the most suitable for determining the energy efficiency of the dryer, in accordance with Regulation 392/2012/EU. For thick and multi-layered fabrics (linens, jeans, denim), the Cotton Extra program or the "Drying level" function is recommended. Actual energy consumption may vary based on load, fabric type, residual moisture, and selected functions.
