Upon receiving the fixture, it is crucial to carefully unpack and inspect all contents for any damage. Any shipping damage or signs of mishandling should be reported to the shipper immediately, and all packing materials should be retained for inspection. In case the fixture needs to be returned to the factory, it must be sent back in its original factory box and packing to ensure safe transport.

For AC power, users must verify that the voltage select switch on the unit matches the line voltage applied to prevent damage. All fixtures must be directly powered off a switched circuit and cannot be run off a rheostat or dimmer circuit. It is essential that all fixtures are connected to circuits with a suitable Earth ground for safety. The power requirements for a particular fixture can be found on the label affixed to the back plate or in the specifications chart. The listed current rating represents the average current draw under normal conditions.
