Overview

The Anko Blender WBL-2105 is a high-powered, innovative appliance designed for various food preparation tasks, including ice crushing, blending, and grinding. Its compact design and outstanding performance make it suitable for extracting nutrients and vitamins from food, and it comes with convenient accessories like a lip ring and travel lid for on-the-go enjoyment of drinks.

Function Description:

The blender is primarily used for:

  • Blending: Pulverizing ice for smoothies, frozen cocktails, and milkshakes; mixing batters for pancakes, muffins, and quick breads; pureeing dishes such as hummus, all-natural soups, and baby food to a creamy smooth consistency; and shaving ice and frozen fruits for treats like snow cones or fruit sorbets. This function typically uses the blending blade assembly with the tall jug.
  • Grinding: Processing harder, single-ingredient items like coffee beans, nuts, and dried fruit. This function typically uses the grinding blade assembly with the small jug.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: WBL-2105
  • Voltage: 220-240V~ 50-60Hz
  • Power: 900W
  • Operating Time: Maximum 1 minute continuous operation.
  • Rest Time: At least 3 minutes rest after 1 minute of operation. After 5 cycles, allow the motor to cool down to room temperature (approx. 30 minutes).
  • Safety Features:
    • Built-in safety lock: Ensures the appliance only switches ON when the jug and blade assembly are securely assembled on the motor base.
    • Non-self resetting thermal motor protection circuit: Protects the motor from overheating. If the motor shuts off, the unit must be unplugged, obstructions removed, and allowed to cool for at least 6 minutes before normal operation.
    • Silicone gasket seal: Located in the base of each blade's collar to create an airtight fit with the jugs, preventing leaks.

Usage Features:

  • Component Identification: The blender includes a motor base, two tall jugs, one small jug, a grinding blade assembly, a blending blade assembly, a travel lid, and two lip rings.
  • Assembly: To use, pour liquid ingredients first, then solid ingredients (cut into small pieces if necessary) into the jug, ensuring not to exceed the "Max" fill line. Screw the blade assembly tightly onto the jug, align the tabs with the motor base, push down, and rotate clockwise until a "click" is heard.
  • Operation: Once plugged into a standard 220-240V~ electrical outlet, the appliance will start working. For ice crushing or pulse function, align the tabs on the jug with the motor base, push down, and release the jug in short intervals until desired consistency is achieved.
  • Safety Precautions during Use:
    • DO NOT process boiling liquids or hot ingredients, as they can eject due to sudden steaming and cause scalding. Allow hot ingredients to cool.
    • DO NOT overfill the jug.
    • DO NOT operate the appliance empty.
    • Keep hands, hair, clothing, and utensils out of the jug during processing. A scraper may be used only when the appliance is not running.
    • Handle blade assemblies with extreme care due to their sharpness, always holding by the base.
    • Ensure the blade assembly is properly installed and not bent or damaged.
    • DO NOT remove the jug from the motor base while the appliance is running.
    • DO NOT expose jugs to extreme temperature changes.
    • DO NOT process dry ingredients for more than 30 seconds at a time to prevent overheating.
    • Avoid using extension cords.
    • The appliance is intended for household use only and should not be used outdoors or for purposes other than its intended use.
    • Appliance accessories (jugs, lids) are not microwave safe.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides solutions for common issues such as the motor not starting, uneven chopping, food being too finely chopped, inability to achieve snow from ice cubes, jug leaking, unit not turning on/off, and poor mixing. Solutions often involve checking component alignment, reducing food quantity, adding liquid, or allowing the unit to cool.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Clean the blender after each use.
    • Unplug the power cord and ensure the appliance is thoroughly cooled before cleaning.
    • Clean the motor base with a damp cloth or sponge; never immerse it in water or other liquids, or rinse it under the tap.
    • Wash all other parts (jugs, lids, blade assemblies) in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
    • CAUTION: Do not attempt to remove blades from the assembly for cleaning, as they are very sharp.
    • Use a small brush (not included) to remove food particles lodged under the blades.
    • For stubborn residue, fill the jug 2/3 full with warm water, attach the blade assembly, place it on the motor base, and operate for 20-30 seconds to loosen ingredients. Repeat with clean tap water, then empty and dry.
  • Storage:
    • Ensure all components are clean and thoroughly dried before storing.
    • Store the appliance upright in a clean, dry location, without placing anything on top.
    • Store jugs and other attachments alongside the appliance to prevent damage and hazards.
  • Gasket Maintenance: Always check that the silicone gasket seal in the blade assembly's collar is properly in place after washing and before each use to prevent leaks.
  • General Care: Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the product. Do not place any parts into a dishwasher or extremely hot water.
