The recommended gripper for the AR3 robot is the
SMC model MHF2-8D shown in the Bill of Materials.
You can use any pneumatic or electric servo gripper of
your choosing. You can modify the J6 flange mount or
create your own to use any gripper you like. The
following page shows some notes on wiring for a servo
gripper vs a pneumatic gripper.
