There are some USB DACs using the XMOS U8 chip that have a bug in their rmware. This bug surfaces with Roon only with very low latency
servers such as the Antipodes servers. The bug means that the USB input chip in your DAC can crash when there is a transition between a
44.1kHz 16 bit track and a 44.1kHz 24 bit track, in your playlist. To recover from the crash you need to restart your DAC.
The rmware bug has been identied and the bug x has been published but some DAC manufacturers may not have a means to update the
rmware, or even know about the bug.
A workaround is to use Squeezelite or HQPlayer instead of Roon Ready and these methods are outlined next. Another workaround is the use
Roon DSP to resample all 44.1kHz les.
