  If the PTT key is pressed but transmission doesn't occur, it might be due to a poor microphone or antenna connection. Ensure the microphone is properly connected. Also, check the antenna connection and make sure it's properly connected.

  If the power is on but nothing appears on the display, it's possible that the polarities of the power connection are reversed. Connect the red lead to the plus terminal and the black lead to the minus terminal of the DC power supply.
