4.8 Terminator
The terminator contains a circuit to correct the transmission waveform and plays the role of mitigate
the disturbance on the transmission waveform due to influences of external conditions.
Properly connect to the transmission line because it has a polarity. (DP: Red, DN: Black)
Reverse connection may result in transmission failure.
The line extended from the gateway (line wired to the very end) is called a trunk line, and the line
wired and branched from the trunk line is called a stay line.
A terminator for 1 master unit must be connected at the very end of the trunk line.
When extending stay lines branched from the trunk line, if the length of the stay lines is more than 40
m, one terminator must be connected at the end of the stay line.
It is possible to omit terminators if the length of the stay line of the transmission line is less than 40 m,
however, it is recommended to connect a terminator to long stay lines of the system.
Terminator can be omitted.
1-branch, stay line length 40 m
2-branch, stay line length 40 m
