Do you have a question about the APART MASK2-W and is the answer not in the manual?
The APart MASK2 speakers are designed as compact, high-fidelity audio devices suitable for a variety of applications, from home hi-fi and cinema surround systems to multiroom audio setups, convention rooms, and shops. They are engineered to deliver excellent sound quality in small to medium-sized rooms.
The MASK2 speakers are full-range 2.5" speakers, but they are not designed to reproduce bass frequencies independently. For optimal performance and to prevent damage, it is strongly recommended to use them in conjunction with matching subwoofers or high-pass filter systems. APart offers recommended subwoofers and amplifier systems that incorporate tailor-made protection and filter circuits, which help prevent overloads and ensure a true hi-fi experience. These protection systems are integrated into the subwoofers and amplifiers, not within the MASK2 speaker itself.
The MASK2 speakers are designed for versatile mounting options, including walls, ceilings, and corners, thanks to the supplied special brackets. The mounting brackets allow for various angles, ensuring optimal sound dispersion in the dedicated listening area. The speakers are not magnetically shielded, so if used with CRT screens, they should be placed at a sufficient distance. However, modern plasma, LCD, TFT, or LED screens are insensitive to magnetic interference, allowing for close placement without limitations.
The speakers use euroblock connectors for wiring. Users should pay attention to polarity (+ is positive, - is negative) and respect the color code of the speaker wire from the amplifier to the speakers. For distances up to 20 meters, 0.75 mm² speaker wire is sufficient. For longer distances, thicker wire is recommended. The euroblocks accept wires up to 1.5 mm² and up to 2.5 mm² when using "cable shoes."
The manual emphasizes proper installation and connection to ensure the longevity and performance of the speakers. Before using the system, all connections should be rechecked to correct any loose connections and avoid "naked" wires that could cause short circuits and damage to other system components. The speakers are carefully packed at the factory, and users are advised not to use sharp objects when unpacking to avoid damage. In case of transport damage, the dealer should be contacted immediately, as such damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The removable grille is designed to stay in place and should not be taken off.
