This document describes the installation procedure, new features and resolved issues for the May 2008 Ensemble Up-
date. The update is comprised of two parts, the Ensemble Software Installer and the Ensemble Firmware Updater.
Who Should Update
All Ensemble users should update to May 2008 versions.
Requirements
Macintosh G4 1GHz or faster, G5 or Intel CPU•
1 GB RAM minimum, 2 GB recommended•
OSX 10.4.11 or greater must be installed, OSX 10.5.3 is highly recommended•

To Install Driver and Software
IMPORTANT - The order in which these steps are completed is critical to a successful update.1.
Download the 2. Ensemble Update May 2008 le.
Double-click on the 3. Ensemble Software Installer icon to initiate installation, and follow instructions provided by
the Installer. After installation it will be necessary to re-start your Mac. After re-starting, a Version mismatch mes-
sage may appear; this is entirely normal and indicates the need to update Ensemble rmware as described below.
To Update Firmware
Before updating rmware:1.
UPDATE to Ensemble MAY08 software;
TURN OFF all speakers connected to Ensemble and disconnect all headphones;
REMOVE all other Firewire devices (hard drives, audio and video devices.
Double- click on the EnsembleUpdater icon to launch the updater application.2.
If the connected Ensemble requires an update, the 3. Update button text becomes black; if the Update button re-
mains grey, the Ensemble isn’t detected or doesn’t require a rmware update.
If required, press the 4. Update button.
Once the update is complete, power off Ensemble, re-start the Mac, and power on Ensemble once the Mac has 5.
re-started.
