Function Description

The ΣM Series Professional Digital Amplifier is designed to deliver powerful and stable audio amplification. It features a universal Power Factor Correction (PFC) power supply, allowing it to be used globally. The amplifier incorporates modular circuit design for ease of cooling and maintenance, and a smart variable-speed fan ensures efficient air cooling. Comprehensive circuit protection is built-in to safeguard against output short circuits, DC voltage, overload, over-temperature, over/under-voltage, and high-frequency overload. The front panel is equipped with numerous LEDs that provide accurate real-time information about the product's operational status, including clip, signal, power, thermal, and fault indicators. A power switch with an integrated green light controls the unit's power supply.

Usage Features

The amplifier is designed for ease of use and flexibility in various audio setups. It supports stereo, mono, and bridge connection modes, allowing users to configure the amplifier according to their specific needs. The input sensitivity can be adjusted via a gain switch, offering options for 1Vrms, 32dB, and 26dB amplification gain ranges. Input signals are handled through balanced female XLR plugs, ensuring high-quality audio transmission. Output connections are made using four-core SPEAKON speaker sockets, with specific wiring instructions provided for stereo mode (1+, 1-).

For optimal performance and safety, several operational guidelines are provided. Users are advised to install a high-pass filter between the mixer output and the unit input, or utilize the built-in DSP (if available) to set the high-pass filter. This helps protect speakers from strong infrasound signals and low-frequency signals that can cause damage. The manual emphasizes the importance of setting the volume control to minimum before turning on the power supply to prevent sudden bursts of sound that could damage hearing. When relocating the unit, all power and connected cables should be unplugged to prevent damage.

Maintenance Features

Maintenance of the ΣM Series amplifier is crucial for its longevity and stable operation. The manual strongly advises against opening the unit's casing, as it may cause electric shock; any checks, maintenance, or repairs should be handled by a professional technician or the dealer. Users are instructed not to modify the unit to avoid fire or electric shock.

Regular cleaning is recommended, especially if the fan runs at high speed for extended periods without achieving adequate cooling. In such cases, the machine should be turned off, and the mesh enclosure removed to clean accumulated dust. Proper ventilation is essential, and users must ensure sufficient space around the unit (at least 10 cm on both sides and above) to facilitate airflow and prevent internal temperature rise, which could lead to fire.

In case of any abnormality, such as smoke, odor, noise, or the entry of foreign matter or liquid, the power switch should be immediately turned off, and the power cord unplugged from the AC outlet. The dealer should be contacted for repair. If the power cord is damaged, a replacement should be obtained from the dealer.

The product comes with a three-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering failures due to non-human factors or irresistible force effects. For warranty service, customers must present the warranty card and invoice. The company will provide free maintenance and replacement parts for confirmed non-operating errors. The warranty becomes void under specific conditions, including product damage due to overload, feedback, mishandling, shipping failures, poor work environment (e.g., dampness), force majeure, unauthorized repairs, or improper installation. The manual also includes a "Service Information Card" to be filled out when sending the unit for repair, ensuring proper tracking and service.
