Preparing To Use
Your
Drive
Turning On
Your
ProFile for
the First Time
Now
that
your
ProFile is
unpacked,
you
are
probably getttng
anxtous
to
use
it. However, before
you
remove the
protective
foam end caps
and
connect lhe
drive to
your
computer,
you
should
first turn
on
your
drive
to
make
sure
that it starts up
properly.
Do
this
as
follows:
1. Turn
OFF
the
power
switch
on the back
of the ProFile.

is equipped
wrth a lhree-wrre
groundrng
type
plug,
a
plug
having a third
(grounding)
pin.
This
plug
will only fit into a
grounding-type AC
outlet.

are unable
to
insert the
plug

the oullel,
contacî a
licensed electrician to
replace the
oullet,
and if necessary
install a
grounding
conductor.
DO NOT DEFEAT
THE PUFPOSE OF

Plug the
power
cord into
lhe recessed 3-pin connector
on
the
back of
the ProFile.
Plug
the other end of the
Power cord
into
a
wall outlet.
Turn
ON
the
oower
switch
on the back
of the ProFile.
