Appendix D – Microsoft COM Ports
COM ports are assigned automatically by Windows.
The COM ports can be changed by going into Windows “Control Panel” then “Device Manager.”
Right click on the ASE BCOM-USB-Port (COMx) with “x” being the port assigned. Click
“Properties” then click “Port Settings” tab. Click the “Advanced…” button. And next to “COM Port
Number” dropdown, the COM Port can be changed. Click “OK” and then “OK” again in the next
screen to save the setting.
