  If the light on your Apriaire Air Cleaner doesn't illuminate after 90 seconds, check a few things. First, ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. Also, verify that the air cleaner is properly plugged in. Make sure your furnace/air handler is running by either making a heat call or turning the fan ON. It's also possible there's insufficient current to activate the Model 51 relay; in that case, wrap the blower common wire around the relay bracket more.

  If the light on your Apriaire Air Cleaner is flashing rapidly, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure all components are dry, as overcurrent or arcing might be detected. If humidity is high, try running your cooling system to lower humidity levels. Make sure the door is fully latched into the top and bottom retainer. Check the wire nuts, screw terminals, and crimped connectors for any loose wires, and use only fully insulated crimped connectors. Also, it's possible there's insufficient current to sustain the Model 51 relay; in that case, wrap the blower common wire around the relay bracket more.
