The bathtub requires a 1½" flanged brass tube for Aquatica® cable-drive and concealed bath wastes. It also necessitates a Male Adapter Spg x MIPT ABS DWV for Aquatica® bath wastes with Sch40 Waste Fitting (Thread 1½ NPSM (1½ IPS)). The installation typically involves a P-Trap (not supplied).

The Aquatica® Freestanding Bath Installer™ Kit, available separately, is designed for an 8" joist space and can be installed with a waterproofing membrane (bronte™ NobleSeal TS Recommended). The kit includes an 18 Gauge Epoxy coated Metal Deck Flange, two brass tailpieces (fine thread and flanged), the installer assembly with a 1½" DWV ABS tailpiece, and a cutting template. The installer kit is CSA Certified for Canadian and US markets.

Maintenance Features:

Maintaining the Aquatica® PureScape™ 028 bathtub is straightforward due to its smooth acrylic surface, which resists dirt accumulation.

Routine Cleaning: For regular maintenance, simply clean the bathtub with a soft cloth, a mild detergent in water, and then wipe dry.
Avoid Harsh Cleaners: It is crucial to avoid using abrasive cleansers or solvents, as these can damage the surface. Damage resulting from the use of such products or any other inappropriate treatment is not covered by the guarantee.
Temperature Limit: The maximum water temperature recommended is 60°C.

Installation Process Highlights:

Preparation: Ensure the floor is even. The waste-overflow fitting is supplied, but other accessories like slip joints and adaptors must be purchased separately. Place the bathtub on 4x4 pieces of lumber to raise it 4" for access to the bottom. Adjust the feet to compensate for floor imperfections.
Waste Connection: The PureScape™ 028 bathtub comes with a factory pre-installed overflow system. The waste pipe/p-trap connection must be made directly to the waste/drain outlet at the bottom of the tub.
Installer Kit (if used):
- Cut a 6-1/2" (16.5 cm) hole in the wood sub-floor using the supplied cutout template.
- Measure and cut the ABS Tailpiece as necessary to ensure a secure connection to the P-Trap. DO NOT CUT THE BRASS TAILPIECE, as this will cause a leak and void the warranty.
- Insert the Freestanding Bath Installer™ assembly into the floor opening and connect to the pipe below.
- Affix the installer to the sub-floor with 6 screws (not supplied).
- Install the flooring surface, leaving a 6-1/2" opening to access the drain.
- Affix the appropriate brass tailpiece to the waste & overflow.
- Cut out the installation label with a utility knife to expose the drain.
- Apply lubricant (supplied) to the tailpiece.
- Position the tub and brass tailpiece in-line with the drain.
- Carefully lower the tub with the installed brass tailpiece into the red collar in the drain assembly, ensuring full engagement with the seal.
Final Steps: Connect the water outlet pipe. Adjust foot leveling lock nuts. Apply silicone to the feet of the bathtub where it stands on the floor. Once the installation is complete, remove the supports (4x4s) and apply silicone at several points between the bottom panel and the floor for a secure seal.
