Maintenance Features

  • Regular Water System Check: It is essential to regularly check the water supply system to prevent air ingress and poor water flow, which can reduce performance.
  • Filter Cleaning: Pools and filtration systems should be cleaned regularly to prevent damage to the unit from dirty or clogged filters.
  • Water Drainage: For long periods of non-use (especially in winter), drain water from the bottom of the water pump to prevent freezing.
  • Pre-Restart Check: Before restarting the unit, ensure sufficient water flow.
  • Winter Cover: When preparing the unit for winter, it is recommended to cover it with a special winter cover.
  • Exterior Cleaning: The exterior of the heat pump can be cleaned with a damp cloth and household cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or those containing sand, soda, acids, or chlorides, as they can damage surfaces.
  • Heat Exchanger and Piping Cleaning: To prevent clogging of the titanium heat exchanger, ensure the system has a water purification system and filter. If contamination occurs, a technician should clean the piping system and heat exchanger using pressurized drinking water.
  • Air System Cleaning: Before each heating season, clean the heat exchanger, fan, and condensate outlet from obstructions like leaves and branches. This can be done with compressed air or clean water. The unit cover and air inlet grille may need to be removed for this.
  • Safety Precautions: Always disconnect electrical power before opening the unit for maintenance. Avoid using hard or sharp objects to clean the evaporator and condensation tray to prevent damage.
  • Environmental Information: The unit contains R32 refrigerant, a fluorinated greenhouse gas. Servicing and disassembly should only be performed by trained professional engineers. Disposal must comply with local and national regulations, and the unit should be processed at a specialized treatment facility for reuse, recycling, and disposal.
