The warranty covers the basic operation (illumination) of the lamp only – as with all reptile lamps the UV
output of the lamp will decay over time and all self ballasted mercury vapour lamps vary slightly in their
UV output from one lamp to another.
If you believe your lamp is faulty, switch it off and wait for 15 minutes to allow the lamp to cool. Switch
the lamp back on, and if it does not re-light within 5 minutes then the lamp is faulty or has reached the
end of its life. Turn the lamp off and disconnect the plug for the luminaire or fixture, leave the lamp for 15
minutes to cool and then remove the lamp. If the lamp is within warranty take the lamp and your original
proof of purchase back to your retailer.
End of Life
The D3 Basking Lamp contains mercury, and cannot be disposed of with normal household waste,
it should be deposited in the lamp recycling area at your local civic recycling centre or taken to any
approved recycling point for lamps containing mercury.
Proper disposal of this product helps to prevent potential negative consequences for the environment
and human health.
