Overview

The Arçelik Gurme Şef™ Multicooker (MC 6056 I) is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for home use, offering a range of cooking programs and features to simplify meal preparation.

Function Description:

This multicooker serves as a multi-purpose cooker with 10 different cooking programs, including Sauté, Tandoor, Jam, Poaching, Low Heat Cooking, Pressure Cooked Meat/Chicken, Stew/Pot Dish, Pressure Cooked Legumes, Steamed Rice, and Yogurt. It combines various cooking methods such as pressure cooking, slow cooking, and sautéing within a single appliance. The device is equipped with a control panel and LED display for easy operation, allowing users to set time, temperature, and pressure according to their recipes. A "Delay" function is also available for deferred cooking. The multicooker is designed to keep food warm automatically after cooking is complete, indicated by a thermostat symbol on the display. It also features a lock symbol to indicate when the lid is closed and a 'POT' symbol when the inner pot is removed.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Source: 220-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz
  • Power Consumption: 1100 W
  • Frequency Band: 100-200 KHz
  • Max. Transmission Power (Wireless Module): <25.37dBuA/m in 3m
  • Capacity: The inner chamber has a maximum fill line, and users are advised not to exceed 2/3 of its capacity.
  • Temperature Range: Programs like Sauté operate at 100-180 °C, Jam at 100-140 °C, and Poaching at 45-95 °C. Low Heat Cooking ranges from 30-140 °C.

Usage Features:

Before each use, it is crucial to ensure the steam valve, steam outlet preventer, and sealing gasket are correctly positioned. The inner and outer chambers, as well as the inside of the housing, should be clean and dry. The appliance should only be moved using its handles. The lid features a handle and a lock symbol for secure closing. To open, the lid handle is turned counterclockwise to the unlocked position. For pressure cooking, the valve must be in the closed position, while for temperature-based cooking, it should be open. Steam release can be done naturally (taking 10-15 minutes) or manually by turning the valve to the open position and pressing the quick release button. A damp towel can be placed over the lid (without covering the steam valve) for faster cooling. The control panel allows for time, temperature, and pressure adjustments. For pressure cooking programs, the pressure level can be set from low to maximum, with higher levels recommended for tough meats. The display shows "0 H" when a cooking program is finished. The temperature unit can be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit by pressing and holding the temperature button for 5 seconds when the "--------" symbol appears on the display. Recipes often use the measuring cup for scales expressed in milliliters. The water condensation reservoir must be attached to prevent condensed steam from overflowing. The appliance should never be used without water or food, as this can cause serious damage.

Maintenance Features:

Regular cleaning is essential for the multicooker's longevity and performance.

  • Steam outlet and float: Should be cleaned with a brush and cloth at least once a month.
  • Sealing gasket: Oil and dirt should be removed with detergent and a brush. It is recommended to clean the sealing gasket seat every 2 months. The sealing gasket should not be pulled in a way that damages it, as this can lead to steam leakage in pressurized programs. If damaged, it should be replaced by an authorized service.
  • Water reservoir: After cooking, any accumulated steam or water in the condensation channel and reservoir should be removed with a clean cloth.
  • Inner chamber: Should be cleaned with detergent, rinsed thoroughly, and wiped dry with a soft cloth. Metal spoons or hard tools should not be used to avoid damaging the inner surface. Prolonged contact with acidic, alkaline, or preserved foods (more than 2 hours) can cause corrosion. The chamber should not be left empty for extended periods with heat, as this can cause staining or yellowing.
  • Lid: The inside of the lid, sealing gasket, steam valve, and float can be removed for washing and should be reassembled correctly after cleaning. The lid should never be washed in a dishwasher.
  • Outer surface: Can be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried completely. For storage, the appliance should be unplugged, allowed to cool, and stored in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. During transportation, the original packaging should be used to protect against physical damage. Heavy objects should not be placed on the device or its packaging.
