The AREBOS Solar Shower (models AR-HE-SDTSS60 / SDTSN60) is an outdoor showering solution designed to provide warm water using solar energy. It is intended for residential use and offers a convenient way to shower outdoors, particularly in areas with ample sunlight.
Function Description:
The solar shower operates by heating water stored in its tank using solar radiation. A garden hose connects to the shower, filling the internal tank. As sunlight hits the tank, the water inside heats up, potentially reaching temperatures of up to 60°C. Users can then mix this heated water with cold water via a single-lever mixer tap to achieve a desired showering temperature. The shower features both a main shower head and a hand shower, as well as a footwash for added convenience. Its design emphasizes ease of installation and operation, making it suitable for various outdoor settings such as gardens, poolsides, or camping areas.

Usage Features:
- Solar Heating: The primary feature is its ability to heat water using solar energy, eliminating the need for external power sources for heating.
- Temperature Control: A single-lever mixer tap allows users to adjust the water temperature by mixing hot water from the tank with cold water from the supply.
- Multiple Shower Options: Equipped with a main shower head for a full shower experience, a hand shower for targeted rinsing, and a footwash for quick cleaning of feet.
- Easy Installation: Designed for attachment to a concrete slab or wooden foundation using threaded sleeves, screws, and washers.
- Optimal Placement: For best performance, the shower should be positioned in a location that receives maximum solar irradiation.
- Safety Precautions: Users are advised to always set the shower handle to the cold water (blue) position before showering to avoid scalding, especially given that water temperature can reach up to 60°C. Children should always be supervised by adults during use.
- Initial Setup: Involves opening the handle to "hot" to release air, connecting a garden hose, filling the tank, and allowing approximately two hours for the water to heat up, depending on sunlight and ambient temperature.
- Water Quality Note: If the shower has not been used for more than 3 days, it is recommended to run the water for 2 minutes before use to replace standing water, as it may no longer be drinking water quality.
- No Aqua-Stop: The shower does not have an aqua-stop function, meaning the water supply must be manually turned off after each use.
Maintenance Features:
- Winterization: Essential for preventing frost damage. This involves:
- Turning off and disconnecting the garden hose.
- Opening the handle to "hot" to drain water from the hoses and solar shower (takes 8-10 minutes). It's crucial not to turn off or turn the handle during this process to ensure complete drainage.
- Unthreading the upper stand from the lower stand by turning the locking ring counter-clockwise, then disconnecting the hose connection to allow remaining water to drain.
- Disassembling the lower stand and pouring out any residual water.
- Cleaning and drying all parts of the solar shower.
- Storing all components indoors in a dry place during winter.
- Cleaning: When initially using the shower, it is recommended to let water run out for several minutes and clean the inner parts with flowing water to remove any plastic and oil smell.
- Antifreeze Warning: Do not use road salt or other antifreeze, as this can damage the shower and void the warranty.
- Water Pressure Management: The recommended maximum water pressure is 3.5 bar. The shower should not be operated with an additional pump or domestic water supply beyond this pressure.
- Expansion of Water: The heating process causes water to expand, leading to a minimal escape of water from the shower head, which is normal.
