This document serves as a user's manual and installation/servicing instructions for the ARISTON NEXT OUTDOOR EVO gas water heater. It provides comprehensive details for proper installation, use, and maintenance.
Function Description
The ARISTON NEXT OUTDOOR EVO is a gas water heater designed to produce hot water for domestic use. It is an instantaneous water heater, meaning it heats water on demand rather than storing it. The appliance is intended for outdoor installation in the open air with natural ventilation, ensuring combustion products are dispersed by natural convection or wind. It features a water flow servomotor system (water proportional valve) that allows for a wider adjusting range of water flow. The CPU reads the water flow and determines if the maximum thermal load can reach the set temperature; if not, it activates the servomotor to reduce water flow to meet the client's temperature request.

Usage Features
- Remote Control: The appliance is supplied with a remote control and a 30m connection cable. The remote control allows users to set the hot water temperature and activate the Bath Function.
- Display: The display shows the water temperature, water amount (for Bath Function), error codes, withdrawal in progress, flame presence signal, and fun active status. It also indicates the set temperature and reset procedure.
- Ignition Procedure: The device is ready to operate by pressing the ON/OFF key. Opening a hot water tap automatically starts the device, with the display showing the set temperature and a flame symbol indicating burner ignition.
- Water Temperature Adjustment: Users can adjust the hot water temperature using the temperature buttons (+/-) on the remote control, from 35°C up to 50°C. Temperatures higher than 50°C (up to 55°C) require a specific button combination and contacting a qualified technician.
- Bath Function: This feature allows users to specify a desired amount of hot water (from 10 to 990 liters) to be dispensed at a selected temperature. The display shows the metered amount during dispensing and provides beeps as the set amount is approached.
- Anti-freeze Protection: If low temperatures are expected, the appliance and system pipework should be drained to prevent frost damage.
- Gas Type Change: The appliance can be adjusted to operate with Liquid Gas (G30-G31) or methane gas (G20) by a qualified technician using a special kit.
- Safety Regulations: The manual emphasizes strict adherence to safety regulations, including warnings against operating the appliance without water, using water above 50°C, and tampering with sealed components. It also highlights the importance of professional installation and maintenance.
Maintenance Features
- Annual Maintenance Check-up: An annual maintenance check-up by a competent person is recommended to ensure safe and efficient operation and to maintain the manufacturer's guarantee.
- Internal Inspection: Instructions are provided for opening the casing to perform an internal inspection, which includes checking seals, visual inspection of components, cleaning the combustion chamber, burner, injector, and primary heat exchanger.
- Safety Device Checks: Regular checks of safety devices such as the temperature limit safety device and flame safety device (ionisation) are required.
- Water Inlet Filter Cleaning: The device is equipped with a filter on the cold water entrance, which should be periodically cleaned if dirt is present.
- Draining Procedures: Instructions are given for draining the system, including shutting off valves and opening taps to empty water from the lowest points.
- Error Codes: The display shows error codes (e.g., A1 for no flame, A2 for overheating, A3 for pipe blockage) to indicate malfunctions, guiding technicians for troubleshooting.
- Water Flow Servomotor Maintenance: Specific steps are outlined for disassembling and reassembling the water flow servomotor, including mounting, tightening screws, and resetting the motor at a default angle.
- Limescale Prevention: For installations in hard water areas (> 200 mg/l), a softener should be installed to limit limescale buildup in the heat exchanger, as damage caused by limescale is not covered by the guarantee.
- Disposal and Recycling: The appliance and its accessories are designed with recyclable materials and must be disposed of and recycled according to regulations.
