Other potential causes include air starvation or insufficient draught. To resolve this, use the recommended fuel. To light the fire, use small, very dry twigs and to maintain the fire, use split logs. Ensure proper air circulation by opening the lower spin wheel and top air control lever. Lastly, verify that the flue is unobstructed and sweep it if necessary.
